Notes: This is a reversible pattern
that looks good on either side. It isn’t a difficult pattern. Border is a
different border than you usually see. It is being done to promote a variety of
ways to work borders. If you prefer a “knit” border just knit 4 rows.
Cast on: Multiple of 10 (30 +6 border=36)
Border:
Row 1: K4, P4 across.
Row 2: K1, P1 across.
Row 3: Knit across.
Row 4: Knit across.
Pattern:
Row 1: K3, *P4, K1, P1, K4; repeat from *, end K3.
Row 2: K3, *P3, K2, P2, K3; repeat
from *, end K3.
Row 3: K3, *P2, K2, P1, K1, P2, K2;
repeat from *, end K3.
Row 4: K3, *P1, (K2, P2) x2, K1;
repeat from *, end K3.
Row 5: K3, *K2, P3, K3, P2; repeat
from *, end K3.
Row 6: K3, *K1, P4, K4, P1; repeat from *, end K3.
Repeat rows 1-6, seven more times.
Border:
Row 1: Knit across.
Row 2: Knit across.
Row 3: K1, P1 across.
Row 4: K4, P4 across.
Bind off and weave in ends.
