July 15 2017 KnitALong CHALLENGE

Rosie is ready to knit!

Finished my NewYork State dishcloth! ~
And, the bird coaster is there, as our state bird is the BlueBird....
 - knit in nautical colors to give my daughter - for using in her kitchen aboard their boat for the summer -
and yes, the main part of the cloth looks narrower - I did it on purpose, using a number 6 needle for the bottom and top borders, but a #5 for the main design.
This gives it a nice way to grab the dishcloth and handy to use - [this one will be used, not just sitting in the drawer!]

July Challenge:
I thought for this month’s *Challenge KAL* it would be nice if members chose their own design!

 - from this website, Rhonda’s Knitting Knonsense, you can be knitting a dishcloth of your own state!

Patterns available for every state, she also has a pattern for a U.S.A. map if you prefer that.
Also available are dishcloth pictures for Australia, England, New Zealand, and Canada.

You could use your state’s colors, or any color of your own choice.
Have fun!  I will post a picture of my cloth later today.

Look forward to seeing what you choose to do – be sure to post your photo in our Yahoo Photo Albums! Happy Knitting!  ~Linda
