Rosie Welcomes You to the September Challenge KAL!

Today I'm giving you a unique pattern - it is given as a square that is be used for a blanket/afghan.  [Actually, nearly any blanket/afghan square can be used for a dishcloth - just try it!]
She shows you how to make multiple squares to connect together as you knit them.

This pattern designer asks for no copies to be made and/or posted of her pattern - but she welcomes links directly to her pattern [given, below] - c. 2003, Patti Pierce Stone

Supplies for the Knit 'Granny' Square - note: color of yarn is up to you, solid will work best - to see the pattern clearly - if you want to show off the color, then a variegated yarn will look nice too.
Below are my own pix - one I did in variegated, the other is in process, using self-striping yarn.

Supplies:
- size 9 needles
- 1/2 oz DK/light worsted wt yarn

Now, since we are using this pattern for a dishcloth, you will want to use cotton yarn; you can also adjust your needle size to what you prefer to use for your dishcloths.

The pattern can be found at:

Happy Knitting!
