1 skein of cotton yarn, #6 US
Knitting Needles.
Notes:
SSP tbl: Slip 2 stitches knit wise to the right needle. Put them back on
the left needle and then Purl them together through the back loop. (You can see
a P2Tog through back loop on www.knittinghelp.com ).
K2Tog: Knit 2 stitches together; YO: Yarn over;
P2Tog: Purl 2 stitches together; SSK: Slip 1, slip 1, Knit 2 together.
Cast on:
Multiple of 6 sts (30+6 bor = 36)
Border:
Rows 1-4: Knit
across.
Pattern:
Row 1: K3, *K3, K2Tog, YO, K1;
repeat from * to last 3; K3.
Row 2: K3, *P2, YO, P2Tog, P2;
repeat from * to last 3; K3.
Row 3: K3, *K1, K2Tog, YO, K3;
repeat from * to last 3; K3.
Row 4: K3, *P4, YO, P2Tog; repeat
from * to last 3; K3.
Row 5: K3, *K1, YO, SSK, K3; repeat
from * to last 3; K3.
Row 6: K3, *P2, SSP tbl, YO, P2;
repeat from * to last 3; K3.
Row 7: K3, *K3, YO, SSK, K1; repeat
from * to last 3; K3.
Row 8: K3, *SSP tbl, YO, P4; repeat
from * to last 3; K3.
Repeat rows 1-8 till desired length. I repeated the set of rows 5 more
times.
Border:
Rows 1-4: Knit across.
Bind off, weave in ends.
