April 20th 2017 KAL Day 1:
Our recommended
color is Yellow but any solid color you like is fine.
Day 1 and day 2
will be posted on our blog tomorrow. You will have a photo tomorrow on
our blog of the rows after day 1.
Everyday rows will be sent via an email; I will be
"Replying" to the first email so all of the rows will be on one email
at the end of the KAL. If you need help, check How to Knit | KnittingHelp.com for
any assistance or write an email to the group for help. For day 1
and day 2 of rows, I will post photos.
Using
Lifelines will help with any project. If you aren't sure what that is, there is
plenty of info on the Internet about it but it is basically where you put
thread or thin yarn through a row already worked, designating that all the rows
to that point are error free. You should document what row you put the lifeline
in so you have a point of reference. If you make any error after that point,
you know you are OK with the previous rows anyway.
This
KAL is a Lace cloth.
Level
of difficulty: Easy+1 (meaning it is a learning cloth)
Materials: 1 skein of cotton yarn; Yellow
#6 US Knitting Needle.
Cast on: 36
stitches
Notes: b = Back of
stitch
YO = Yarn Over (Please
make sure you are completing the YO at the end of a repeat. This is
sometimes forgotten and it will affect the number of stitches on your needle.)
SSK = Slip 1, Slip 1,
K2tog
P2Tog-b = this means to
purl 2 together through the back loops. You can visit www.knittinghelp.com to watch this being done.
Several rows you will be
asked to knit or purl a different number of stitches after the last
repeat.
Special
note: On all RS rows 1 extra
stitch is added to each pattern repeat and on all WS rows the extra stitch is
taken off. (For the first few rows I have designated the correct number
of stitches that should be on your needles at the end of that row)
