Welcome -
March 2019  KAL Challenge

Happy St Patrick's Weekend!
Rosie 's Birthday is this Sunday, she was born on St Patrick's Day, 3 yrs ago!

Riddle:
What is straight til it's round?
What is round til it's straight?
 Answer:
Our TWO Knitalong Challenge Patterns!

As you see, one is a Round Cloth, the other is a Square.

But - the round one is knit on straight needles!
The Square cloth is knit on circular needles!

You will find these delightful patterns at Ravelry - the designer is talented Julie Tarsha.

Crazy Eights, circle cloth

Around the Square, square cloth

The Circle cloth uses Short Rows.  If you've never done short rows this is a great first practice pattern for you - no wraps and turns!  so take on this challenge if you haven't tried short rows before!

The Square cloth uses magic loop with circulars - if you haven't used this method in your knitting in the round, this is a perfect one to learn on.  You could use double pointed needles, if you rather.

Just so you can see, I took a photo before I took the square knit-in-the-round off needles:
