January 1, 2019 KAL:   Challenge

Happy New Year, from Rosie!

Hope everyone is having a great start to their New *Knitting* Year!

For this year, I'm taking some time  away - not away from knitting!  - but away from designing and creative work
 - so for the Challenge KAL's, I will be sending along some new patterns from online sites ~

The  one I chose for this month is called "Flags" -

My KAL Challenge Cloth:

~ it is a simple stitch, but the challenge to you is to see that it is also offered as the beginning of a 52- square-blocks knit!

Included with this pattern is a chart, if you want to learn [a good challenge for a new year!] or already like to knit from a chart and not a pattern.

At this site, a different pattern will be published every WEEK! so if you decide to take it on, you will have some knitting to do every week, which would be perfect for those of you who knit fast and can't wait til our knitalong comes up the next month!

Enjoy this pattern, and take a look at her site - she has a number of other free patterns!

Rosie invites you to the November/December Challenge KAL!

This is a specially wonderful knit-along for the Christmas Season!  This talented lady has designed a Blanket knitalong that we can join!  AND for those who like a *mystery*, she doesn't reveal each block's photo until the day of the pattern!

There are 12 blocks  - if you knit all of them and put together, you have a nice size blanket [each square is 10in x 10in]

All the info you need is at her site - here is the link:
Xmas Blanket KnitAlong

I will not be posting any of her photos, but as I complete each square I will post pictures of my own.

Please join in, it will be fun for sure!
