Sept 16th KAL Day 2

Here are the rows for day 2 along with a photo of the cloth after day 1 rows are completed.

here are today's rows - with a word of *caution* - when instructions tell you to do a yarn over [yo], and follow it with a purl stitch, just be certain that you do both! it's so easy to do the yarn over, and your yarn is in position to do a purl stitch! remember to put your yarn around the back and to the front again!

Isn't the pattern working up nicely?!

As you've probably figured out already, the *odd* numbered rows are the *front* of this dishcloth ~ Day 2 Instructions:
Row 11: K3, * p2, k2, yo, k2, skpo, rep from * to last 5 sts. p2, k3.
Row 12: K5, *P6, K2, repeat from * to last 3 sts. K3.
Row 13: K3, * p2, k6, Rep from * to last 5 sts. p2, k3.
Row 14: K5, *P6, K2, repeat from * to last 3 sts. K3.
Row 15: K3,* p2, k2, k2tog, k2, yo, rep from * to last 5 sts. p2, k3.
Row 16: K5, *P6, K2, repeat from * to last 3 sts. K3.
Row 17: K3,* P2, k1, k2tog, k2, yo, k1, rep from * to last 5 sts p2, k3.
Row 18: K5, *P6, K2, repeat from * to last 3 sts. K3.
Row 19: K3,* p2, k2tog, k2, yo, k2, rep from * to last 5 sts p2, k3.
Row 20: K5,* p6, k2, rep from * to last 3 sts k3.

Sept 16th KAL Day 1

Here are the rows for day 1:

Supplies: 1 ball Cotton yarn [your choice of color],
Size 6 US needles [or your preferred needle size]
Info for one special stitch used: Skpo = slip one stitch, knit the next stitch, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted one and off the needles

If you haven't done this one before, check here : http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/abbreviations_explained/

NOTE: For the skpo, yes, this results in one less stitch - BUT, you have also done a YO [yarn over], so that compensates and makes the stitch count the same at the end of the row, at 40 stitches.

Directions: To save yourself some possible grief, count your stitches regularly, being sure you do the yo [yarn overs]!

Cast on 40 stitches
Row 1: knit across
Row 2: knit across
Row 3: knit across
Row 4: knit across
Row 5: K3, *P2, K6, repeat from * to last 5 sts, P2, K3.
Row 6: K5, *P6, K2, repeat from * to last 3 sts., K3.
Row 7: K3, * P2, yo, k2, skpo, k2, rep from * to last 5 sts., p2, k3. [Where it says skpo, in between the two "K2 skpo K2" are the 2 stitches that you work with to slip one, then knit the next one, and then pass that slipped stitch over the one you knit - then proceed to row's directions: K2, etc.]
Row 8: K5, *P6, K2, repeat from * to last 3 sts. K3.
Row 9: K3, * p2, k1, yo, k2, skpo, k1 rep from * to last 5 sts, p2, k3.
Row 10: K5, *P6, K2, repeat from * to last 3 sts., K3.
