Here is day 1 of our Sept 16th KAL:

Cotton yarn – any color

Size 7 (US) = 4.5 mm needles

Notes:  SSK:  Sl 1, Sl 1, K2Tog

             PSSO:  Pass Slip Stitch Over

K4 in the beginning and end of each row signifies the border stitches.

Cast on 39 stitches.

Row 2: Knit across
Row 3: Knit across
Row 4: Knit across
Row 5: Knit across
Row 6: K4, P31, K4
Row 7: K7, *K2tog, YO, K1, YO, ssk, K5; repeat from* to last 12 stitches:  K2Tog, YO K1, YO SSK , K7
Row 8: K4, P31, K4
Row 9: K6, *K2tog, (K1, YO) twice, K1, ssk, K3; repeat from* to last 13: K2Tog, (K1, YO)x2, K1, SSK, K6
