Special Stitch KAL Day 2

After completing day 1, your cloth should resemble the below photo:


Row 7:            With color A, Knit across
Row 8:            With Color A, K4, P37, K4 
Row 9:            Color B K1, Sl 1 (PW), *K5, Sl 1 (PW) *; Repeat between *’s, ending K1.
Row 10:         Color B K1, YF, Sl 1 (PW), YB *K5, YF, Sl 1 (PW), YB*; Repeat between *'s 
                        end with K1
Row 11:         Color B P1, YB, Sl 1 (PW), YF, *P5, YB, Sl 1 (PW), YF*; Repeat between *’s, 
                        end with P1.
Row 12:         Color B K1, YF, Sl 1 (PW), YB *K5, YF, Sl 1 (PW), YB*; Repeat between *’s, end
                        K1

This ends the row pattern.  Repeat the 12 pattern rows 5 times, then repeat rows 1-8 once.  Knit 4 rows with B, bind off and weave in end.

If you are new to knitting this pattern will probably be new to you.  It has been around a long time and is a Peaches N Crème that can found in a lot of places and if you aren't familiar with Kay & Ann's website, you may want to visit.  This cloth was in their Mason Dixon Knitting Book #1.  Their site is located at http://www.masondixonknitting.com/



BallBand Dishcloth (Brick Stitch)

Materials:

2 skeins of solid color yarn OR 1 skein of variegated & 1 skein of solid color.

#6 or #7 US Knitting Needles


Cast on: 45

 Border:

With Color B,

Rows 1-4:      Knit Across

Pattern:

Row 1:            With Color A, Knit across.

Row 2:            With Color A. K4, P37, K4

                        If you haven’t added a lifeline yet, now would be the time to do it.

Row 3:            With Color B after attaching the alt color, K4,  Sl1 (PW), *K5, Sl 1 (PW) *;
                         repeat between *’s ending with K4
Row 4:            With B, K4, YF, Sl 1 (PW), YB * K5, YF, Sl 1 (PW), YB*; Repeat between *’s ending K4
Row 5:            With B, P4, YB, Sl 1 (PW), YF, *P5, YB, Sl 1(PW), YF*; Repeat between *’s, ending P4
Row 6:            With B, K4, YF, Sl 1 (PW), YB, *K5, YF, Sl 1 (PW), YB*; Repeat between *’s
                         ending, K4
Row 7:            With color A, Knit across
Row 8:            With Color A, K4, P37, K4 
Row 9:            Color B K1, Sl 1 (PW), *K5, Sl 1 (PW) *; Repeat between *’s, ending K1.
Row 10:         Color B K1, YF, Sl 1 (PW), YB *K5, YF, Sl 1 (PW), YB*; Repeat between *’s, end
                        K1
Row 11:         Color B P1, YB, Sl 1 (PW), YF, *P5, YB, Sl 1 (PW), YF*; Repeat between *’s, end
                        P1
Row 12:         Color B K1, YF, Sl 1 (PW), YB *K5, YF, Sl 1 (PW), YB*; Repeat between *’s, end
                        K1
Repeat the 12 pattern rows 5 times, then repeat rows
1-8 Once.  Knit 4 Rows with B, bind off and weave in ends.
