Handmade Gifts for the Holiday Book Update

Here is updated info about our book:

Handmade Gifts for the Holidays...
We are happy to announce the roll out of our book entitled “Handmade Gifts for the Holidays”. We are anxious for you to use these patterns and present to your family and friends this Christmas. We have included 22 patterns for household items, accessories, socks and baby items. We have included some fun games (by Alli Barrett) and some great tips, advice for new knitters and general knitting information. The great thing about this book is that all the important tools are located in one book. The charts showing needles sizes and yarn types should also be helpful.
The digital and printed versions will be available tomorrow, Thursday, October 29th. You can visit http://dishclothcalendar.com/ for more information on our book. You can also email me at jcnogle@gmail.com if you have any questions.
We will also have three (3) yarn give a ways to go along with the roll out. This will include 5 skeins of yarns and some pattern booklets from “Sugar N Crème”. How does that work? We will gather all the names of the individuals who purchased our book and at the end of November we will draw three (3) names and those winners will receive a package from us.
There will also be a free facecloth posted on our website at http://dishclothcalendar.com/. The pattern will be a “seasonal” picture cloth. It will be posted on our site October 29th.
The digital version is $12 and the printed version is $20 (including shipping & handling). We ship within the US. Due to cost of shipping we will be unable to provide a printed version to those outside of the US.
Alli and I would like to take this opportunity to tell everyone thank you for all of your encouragement you have given us and your friendship. We have met so many outstanding people just by sharing our talents. Thank you all.

Oct 16th 2015 KAL Day 1

Everyday rows will be sent via an email, I will be "Replying" to the first email so all of the rows will be on one email at the end of the KAL. PLEASE NOTE:  Use our KAL Blog if you don't see the rows. Every KAL I receive emails saying "can I get the rows for today?" If you see a response from me it may just say "Use The Blog" to remind you.  If you are a "Special Notice" member, you will need to get your rows for day 2 through final from our blog or checking our site for the "updated" emails. Yahoo doesn't provide for "reply" messages to be sent to the Special Notice members.
If you need help, check
How to Knit | KnittingHelp.com for any assistance or write an email to the group for help.  For day 1 and day 2 of rows, I will post photos.

Using Lifelines will help with any project. If you aren't sure what that is, there is plenty of info on the Internet about it but it is basically where you put thread or thin yarn through a row already worked, designating that all the rows to that point are error free.
You should document what row you put the lifeline in so you have a point of reference. If you make any error after that point, you know you are OK with the previous rows anyway

This will be a seasonal cloth this time.

Materials:
1 skein orange cotton yarn (or a fall color)
#6 US needle

Cast on:             43 stitches
Border:
Row 1:            K1, P1 across
Row 2:             K1, P1 across
Row 3:            K1, P1 across
Row 4:             K1, P1 across

Pattern:
Row 1:            K1, P1, K1, Knit 37, K1, P1 K1
Row 2:            K1, P1, K1, Purl 37, K1, P1, K1
Work rows 1& 2 a total of six (6) times

Please note....there will not be a photo for day 1 because it is mostly stockinet rows.  There will be a photo after day 2 rows have been posted. Day 1 will be posted on our KAL as well.
